Gardens by Design is a consultant design and project management business, specializing in residential garden design, integration of pool, garden, exterior living space and home, landscape town planning/permit applications, garden lighting and sourcing of ornamentation.

Principal David Bennett has over 25 years experience in the landscape design, landscape construction, nursery, horticultural and aboriculture fields with relevant formal qualifications.

His work has been featured in such publications as The Age (Domain), Gardens and Outdoor Living, Sanctuary, Backyard and Garden Design Ideas, Greenworld, and Earthstyle magazine, and won numerous awards from the Landscape Industries Association of Victoria.

Gardens by Design has an enviable reputation for quality, cost effective design solutions, with much work being sourced from word of mouth recommendations and repeat clients.

Projects undertaken have ranged from 10 acre country properties, to small inner urban courtyards, to family homes to commercial and school projects.

Our philosophy is that each garden is a unique and innovative response to the client’s needs, their home, and the site itself.
